The location features dedicated BBQ facilities with wash-up areas, complemented by a gated playground that provides safe entertainment for children. Visitors enjoy the spacious grassed areas perfect for picnics, while convenient roadside parking makes access straightforward. The formal gardens showcase marble memorials surrounded by established trees, creating pleasant views across the parkland toward the river. Regular band concerts add community atmosphere where families can share outdoor meals at no charge. Tennis courts and nearby sports clubs contribute to the active environment. Wildlife enthusiasts occasionally spot blue wrens and other native birds among the vegetation.

Aussie public BBQs are simple to use. Majority of sites listed on this website are gas or electric BBQs. Simply press the button and it will turn on for a set amount of time (10-20 minutes).

You should first check with Prospect council about the rules and restrictions.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
